Anne is a long-time educator from the San Francisco Bay Area. Because her family just relocated to New Jersey, she is excited about resuming her teaching on a part-time basis through tutoring and college process support. She is passionate about education and loves teaching in any form. Although she grew up in Silicon Valley, Anne attended Middlebury College as an undergraduate (B. A., English), and later earned degrees from Northwestern (M. A., English) and Harvard (Ed. M., Literature, Journalism, Law and Religion). She spent ten years as a classroom teacher, but also has extensive experience in tutoring and test prep dating back to 1992. Her philosophy is to work with students individually without superimposing a particular method; she is comfortable adapting to specific needs and finds that doing so works the best. Anne finds her work very meaningful, and loves the way that one-on-one support can transform educational challenges into wonderful successes and unanticipated opportunities.
